Check out one of the musical numbers from Walt Disney Studios’ Wish

November 8, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

A good musical number is as important as a Happily Ever After or adorable animal sidekicks when it comes to a Disney animated feature film, and so the Mouse House has dropped a brand new clip highlighting one of the songs from their latest musical-comedy Wish.

Directed by Frozen‘s Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn, making her feature-film debut, Wish features Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose (West Side Story), Chris Pine (Star Trek), and Alan Tudyk (I, Robot), along with Jennifer Kumiyama (The Sessions), Evan Peters (Dahmer), Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows), Niko Vargas (Monkey Wrench), Della Saba (Physical) and Jon Rudnitsky (Home Again). Check out the clip from “I’m A Star” below…

In “Wish,” Asha, a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force—a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe—the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico—to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.
