Christian Bale to play Steve Jobs in biopic

October 16, 2014 by Thomas Roach

Just a few weeks ago Leonardo DiCaprio dropped out of the upcoming apple founder Steve Jobs’ biopic. Christian Bale is now confirmed to be in talks to replace DiCaprio as the Apple co-founder.

Interestingly when David Fincher was attached to direct the biopic, Christian Bale was his first choice and part of the ultimatum for him directing the film. After demanding too much money Fincher left the project but it looks like Sony liked his casting choice. Bale has taken on a wide range of roles in his career and has shown his ability to change his appearance dramatically for roles.

The film is being directed by Danny Boyle with a script by Aaron Sorkin. The project is being produced at Sony with Scott Rudin, Mark Gordon and Guymon Casady being the producers. As of yet there is no confirmed release date for the film.

Do you think Christian Bale is a good choice for Steve Jobs’? Let us know…
