Having shared first look images and a teaser poster this past week, Amazon Prime Video has now shared the official trailer for Coming 2 America, the sequel to the classic 1988 comedy Coming to America which sees Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall reuniting for another trip to the United States – this time in search of the newly-crowned King Akeem’s long lost son. Set in the lush and royal country of Zamunda, newly-crowned King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and his trusted confidante Semmi(Arsenio Hall) embark on an all-new hilarious adventure that has them traversing the globe from their great African nation to the borough of Queens, New York – where it all began.
Coming 2 America is set for release on March 5th 2021 and sees the return of Eddie Murphy (Prince Akeem), Arsenio Hall (Semmi), James Earl Jones (King Jaffe Joffer), Shari Headley (Queen Lisa), John Amos (Cleo McDowell), Louie Anderson (Maurice) and the barbershop crew, along with new cast additions Wesley Snipes, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, Jermaine Fowler, Bella Murphy, Rotimi, KiKi Layne, Nomzamo Mbatha and Teyana Taylor.
