Corin Hardy to direct The Conjuring 2 spinoff The Nun

February 3, 2017 by Gary Collinson

New Line Cinema has found a director for the latest instalment of The Conjuring franchise, with the studio tapping Corin Hardy to direct The Nun.

The Nun will be the second spinoff from the James Wan-directed horror series after Annabelle, which also has a sequel set to arrive on August 11th. It will focus on the ‘Demon Nun’ character Valak, who terrorised the Warrens and the Hodgson family in last year’s The Conjuring 2, and has been written by Wan and Gary Dauberman (Annabelle, Annabelle 2, It).

Hardy, who previously helmed The Hallow, is also attached to the long-gestating reboot of The Crow, which has Jason Momoa set to star. Assuming it ever gets made, of course.
