Yesterday we brought you the news that Matt LeBlanc is set to star in a new sitcom pilot entitled I’m Not Your Friend at CBS, and now his former Friends co-star Courteney Cox has landed a comedy pilot of her own, with CBS placing an order for the single-camera comedy Charity Case.
Written by Robert Padnick, writer-producer of The Office, Charity Case will see Cox as Hailey, a woman who inherits her late billionaire husband’s charity and quickly finds that changing the world is far less glamorous than she had imagined.
The pilot will be directed by James Griffiths (Episodes, Cuban Fury), who will also produce alongside Cox and Padnick.
