David Meunier joins Arrow season 5 as Ishmael Gregor

August 31, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Following on from yesterday’s first look images [see here], we now have a new piece of casting news for the fifth season of Arrow, with Deadline reporting that David Meunier (Justified, Damien) has joined the show in a recurring role.

Meunier is set to play “Ishmael Gregor, the slick and intimidating Pakhan (“Godfather”) of the Bratva, whom Anatoly (David Nykl) reports and takes a special interest in Oliver Queen.”

In the comic books, Gregor is a Russian crime lord who is granted the mystical and demonic powers of Sabbac, although it is said that the show will explore “his more earthly ambitions”.

Arrow’s fifth season premieres on Wednesday, October 5th.
