Demi Moore joins Taylor Sheridan’s Landman

February 7, 2024 by Ricky Church

Taylor Sheridan’s new series Landman has just gained another cast member. According to Variety, Demi Moore (Ghost) will star alongside Billy Bob Thorton in the upcoming drama.

Based on the podcast Boomtown, Sheridan’s Landman is set in West Texas and follows the “upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fuelling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.”

Moore will be a series regular in Landman as Cami, the “wife to one of the most powerful oil men in Texas and a friend of Tommy Norris (Thornton).”

“Demi Moore is an iconic and extraordinary talent,” said Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios. “We are thrilled to have her join Billy Bob Thornton and the star-studded cast of Landman, our next epic series from Taylor Sheridan.”

Landman is currently in production in Fort Worth, Texas and is co-created and executive produced by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace through Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions. Sheridan will executive produce alongside David Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle and Bob Yari for 101 Studios, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman, Stephen Kay, Dan Friedkin and Jason Hoch for Imperative Development LLC, and J.K. Nickell and Megan Creydt for Texas Monthly. Peter Feldman will also serve as a co-executive producer with MTV Entertainment Studios overseeing production.
