Mubi has dropped the first teaser for buzzy body horror The Substance, which earned a 13 minute standing ovation on its way to winning the award for Best Screenplay at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
Starring Demi Moore (Ghost), Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers), and Dennis Quaid (Traffic), the film is written and directed by Coralie Fargeat (Revenge), and tells the story of a fading celebrity who decides to use a black market drug to create a younger, better version of herself.
