The iconic video game character Donkey Kong is set to join the line-up of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle as a new playable hero in an upcoming DLC release.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is the story of an unexpected encounter between the most famous video game character, Mario, and the irreverent and chaotic Rabbids as they join forces to restore the Mushroom Kingdom, which has been torn apart by a mysterious vortex.
Mario and Donkey Kong do of course have history, with the Italian plumber making his very first appearance in the 1981 arcade game Donkey Kong where he was originally known as Jumpman. Check out the Donkey Kong trailer here…
Donkey Kong will be featured in an original story, taking place in a new world, and will be exclusive to this brand new adventure, planned for release in spring 2018.
