Dustwind: Resistance trailer reveals post-apocalyptic real-time combat

May 3, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Dustwind: Resistance, the spiritual successor to Dustwind – The Last Resort, will be launch on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X and Playstation 5 this June. This new entry in the Dustwind saga is a standalone single-player experience focusing on real-time tactical squad-based warfare, gritty storytelling and flexible playstyles. Watch the new trailer below for a sneak peek at the action…

Dustwind: Resistance takes players to a brutal post-apocalyptic world where they will lead a squad of hardened survivors, and a dog called Diesel, against an army of vicious raiders that are threatening your home. Players will need to plan their every move and use every tactic at their disposal to destroy their enemies. Make use of stealth, traps, vehicles, turrets, barricades and more to stave off the attack.

This new title will feature a new full-length campaign with handcrafted missions set across a variety of environments, including snowy wastes to farmland. There’s also an enhanced squad customisation system to allow players to go deeper into creating their squad, plus numerous unique weapons added to equip your squad with.

For those needing a Dustwind fix before the game’s release in June, there will be the arrival of a playable demo on Steam in May. There will also be the arrival of ‘2Friends’, a new free DLC for the original Dustwind that takes players through a short story campaign that sets the stage for the events of Dustwind: Resistance.

Look out for Dustwind: Resistance arriving on Steam this June.
