Edgar Allan Poe horror Raven’s Hollow gets a trailer from Shudder

August 13, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its world premiere at FrightFest later this month, Shudder has released a trailer, poster and images for the gothic horror Raven’s Hollow.

A retelling of the life of Edgar Allan Poe, the film follows a young Poe as he and his fellow miltary cadets stumble across a forgotten community guarding a sinister secret. Determined to uncover the truth, Poe comes face to face with a terror that haunts him forever; watch the trailer below…

Raven’s Hollow is set in Autumn, 1830. West Point military Cadet Edgar Allan Poe and four other cadets on a training exercise in upstate New York come upon a man eviscerated on a bizarre wooden rack. His dying words direct them to a forgotten community, which they believe is guarding sinister secrets. Enthralled by the Innkeeper’s beautiful and mysterious daughter Charlotte and fuelled by the town resident’s refusal to speak to the murder, Poe determines to uncover the truth. Risking his life and more, Poe ultimately comes face to face with the terror that will haunt him forever.

Directed by Christopher Hatton, the film stars William Moseley, Melanie Zanetti, Kate Dickie, and David Hayman.

Raven’s Hollow arrives on Shudder on September 22nd.
