Elder Scrolls Online Elsweyr Prologue available now

March 27, 2019 by Patrick Nolan

Following the release of the Wrathstone DLC this month, you can now play the Elsweyr prologue quest.

The prologue functions as an introduction to the story that will be told in the main expansion when Elsweyr is launched. You can play the prologue as long as you have a base copy of the Elder Scrolls Online; no DLC is required. Even if you don’t own the game you can try it out for free from tomorrow until next Wednesday.

Elsweyr, releasing in June, will bring a variety of new additions to the world of Elder Scrolls Online including: a new class, a new zone to explore and the opportunity to fight dragons.

Both the Wrathstone DLC and the Elsweyr expansion are part of the ‘Season of the Dragon’ event which connects the stories of each new content update for this year.

Two other DLC, expansions or add on packs will also be released as part of the ‘Season of the Dragon’ in quarter three and four of this year; although the content of these updates has yet to be detailed.

If you are looking to play some other Elder Scrolls Online content before the release of Elsweyr in June you could purchase the DLC that is currently on sale as part of the 25-year Elder Scrolls Arena anniversary celebration.
