Elena Satine to play Beautiful Dreamer in X-Men series The Gifted

August 10, 2017 by Gary Collinson

After roles in Smallville and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., actress Elena Satine is set to add another superhero show to her resume, with The Gifted showrunner Matt Nix revealing that she is set to take on the role of Dreamer (a.k.a. the Morlock character Beautiful Dreamer) in the X-Men series The Gifted.

Screen Rant reports that Nix has revealed that the character will make her debut in the second episode of the new TV series, and will find herself involved in a love triangle with Thunderbird (Blair Redford) and another as-yet-unrevealed character.

Nix also spoke about the character’s mutant abilities, stating that: “One of the things about her character is that’s a really sexy power that isn’t a gigantic power. We aren’t blowing up a building with her … it doesn’t involve a six-week CG build.”

Satine previously portrayed the character of Mera on Smallville, as well as the Enchantress’ sister Lorelei on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
