As casting continues on The CW’s Arrowverse pilot Batwoman, it has been announced that Elizabeth Anweis (Twin Peaks, The Affair) has joined Ruby Rose in the cast of the superhero spinoff.
Anweis is set to portray Catherine Hamilton-Kane, step mother to Rose’s Kate Kane and the wife of her father Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott).
The character description for Hamilton-Kane reads; “A savvy, bullheaded defense contractor and one of Gotham’s most powerful residents, for Catherine, it’s a matter of the bottom line: Batwoman is bad for business.”
The Batwoman pilot is being directed by Marcos Siega (The Vampire Diaries, The Following), and features a cast that also includes Meagan Tandy (Teen Wolf) as love interest Sophie Moore, Nicole Kang (You) as Kate’s step sister Mary Hamilton, Camrus Johnson (Luke Cage) as Luke Fox, a.k.a. Batwing, and Rachel Skarsten (Lost Girl) as Alice, the leader of the villainous Wonderland Gang.
