July 29, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, A24 has debuted the first trailer for David Freyne’s fantasy rom-com Eternity.

Elizabeth Olsen stars as Joan, a woman who recently passed away and is given just one week in the afterlife to decide if she wants to spend eternity with her first love Luke (Callum Turner), or Larry (Miles Teller) the man she spent her life with.

The cast also includes John Early, Olga Merediz, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph. Check out the trailer below…

In an afterlife where souls have one week to decide where to spend eternity, Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) is faced with the impossible choice between the man she spent her life with (Miles Teller) and her first love (Callum Turner), who died young and has waited decades for her to arrive.

Eternity will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September ahead of a theatrical release in November.
