Fabien Frankel and Alison Oliver join Mark Ruffalo in untitled HBO crime drama

December 22, 2023 by Ricky Church

Deadline reports House of the Dragon’s Fabien Frankel and Saltburn’s Alison Oliver have joined an untitled crime drama from HBO which stars MCU star Mark Ruffalo and developed by Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby.

The untitled series, which may be going under the working title of Task Force, is “set in the working class suburbs outside of Philadelphia. In it, an FBI agent heads a Task Force to put an end to a string of drug-house robberies led by an unsuspecting family man.” Ruffalo will play Tom, the FBI agent leading the Task Force.

Frankel will play Anthony, “an integral member of Tom’s task force” while Oliver will be Lizzie, “an underperforming state police officer who is added to Tom’s team.”

They join a cast that also features Tom Pelphrey (Ozark) as Robbie, Emilia Jones (Locke & Key) as Maeve, Thuso Mbedu as Aleah (The Woman King), Raul Castillo as Cliff (Army of the Dead), Jamie McShane as Perry (Wednesday) and Sam Keeley (Joe vs. Carole) as Jayson.

Ingelsby will write and executive produce the series with Ruffalo also serving as an executive producer. Directing will be Jeremiah Zager and Salli Richardson-Whitfield direct and executive produce alongside both of them.
