First DLC arrives for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader

September 25, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Owlcat Games has released the first DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, offering hours of brand new content to those serving the Emperor.  Void Shadows brings a new romanceable character and a new storyline that introduces the feared Genestealer Cult.  See more in the new trailer below…

Void Shadows new story brings a new story that allows Lord Captains to explore the lives of those in the voidship while the threat of the Genestealer Cult move out of the deep, dark shadows to take over the crew.  The Genestealer Cult is a horrific xeno race that is associated with Tyranid Genestealers, and who work from the shadows to infect the crew with their genetic code and slowly converts them to work against their fellow humans.

To combat this new threat, players gain access to a new companion – the Death Cult Assassin Kibellah. Death Cults worship the Emperor devoutly through the art of death and killing and the group working on the voidship is working for the Von Valancius dynasty.  It is through this group that players will meet Kibellah, the second-ranking Assassin in the cult, and they will be able to earn her loyalty and admiration throughout the events of the new story.

Void Shadows is available now for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.
