First trailer for Luther: The Fallen Sun starring Idris Elba

With just a month to go until Luther: The Fallen Sun arrives on Netflix, the streamer has released a trailer, poster and images for the feature length crime thriller.

Directed by Jamie Payne from a script by Luther creator Neil Cross, the film sees the return of Idris Elba as the disgraced detective John Luther, and follows him as as he breaks out of prison to take down a gruesome serial killer that is terrorizing London. Watch the trailer below…

 

In Luther: The Fallen Sun — an epic continuation of the award-winning television saga reimagined for film — a gruesome serial killer is terrorizing London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther (Idris Elba) sits behind bars. Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary.

Luther: The Fallen Sun features a cast that includes Idris Elba, Cynthia Erivo, Andy Serkis, Dermot Crowley, Jess Liaudin, Lauryn Ajufo and Natasha Patel. 

Luther: The Fallen Sun arrives in select cinemas on February 24th, and on Netflix on March 10th.
