Fractured Veil brings Hawaiian survival to Steam Early Access in 2022

August 21, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Paddle Creek Games will be releasing their Hawaiian survival game, Fractured Veil, on Steam Early Access in 2022.  Fractured Veil will bring both PvP and PvE to players seeking fun and excitement with a dose of sun and sand.  Some new trailers can be seen below…

A devastating transportation system malfunction has thrown the world into chaos, the fragile peace that everyone lived happily in has turned into an apocalypse and the golden beaches of Hawaii are now home to horrifying mutants.  What humans survived sought shelter and tried to build some kind of society, as well as try to survive the mutants and the more unfriendly survivors.  Though it wasn’t long before these survivors realised they couldn’t die, instead returning as a clone each time.

With their endless loop of surviving and dying, players will collect resources, craft and fight to stay alive but as they do, also have the opportunity to create or become part of a community.  Adventure alone or with others and push inland to explore new territory.

Players will also have the chance to head into NPC controlled outposts where they will be able to trade with vendors and take up missions from the remaining island residents. Survivors will also be able to trade XP for skill points, unlocking abilities and bonuses in different disciplines.

As players explore they head towards the outposts, beware of Big Bob, a twisted creature who once served as a famous line cook, he’s not alone however.  Accompanying Bob are other mutants infected by his DNA called Butchers.  Other mutants to watch out for are the Green Lady, a nocturnal half-plant hybrid who command a legion of Stalkers who specialise in hit and run tactics.

Features:

  • Hawaiian lore and unique Hawaiian weapons.
  • Mutant siege system with base destruction.
  • Multiverse travel between servers with distinct biomes and weather systems.
  • In-depth base building and tiered crafting system.
  • NPC Settlements with PvE, and PvP elements.
  • RPG-inspired Player Progression.

“Fractured Veil is a beautiful amalgamation of the traditional survival and MMO genres,” said Ryan Wianko, Project Director and Co-founder of Paddle Creek Games. “Balancing the PvP and PvE aspects of the game allows us to cater to all sorts of players and create a dynamic—and chaotic—world. Our goal from day one has been to focus on our community and push the boundaries of survival games by blending aspects of MMOs, RPGs, and Survival Games!”
