34BigThings and indie developer Not a Number have announced the release of their new hack ‘n’ slash game Helheim on Steam. This new title will take players to the Norse underworld for furious combat with a good splash of sci-fi.
The Norse underworld of Helheim has been invaded and conquered by a mysterious enemy in command of an army equipped with powerful technology, to add insult to injury, they overthrew queen Hella and imprisoned her. Freed from her cell by an unexpected ally, players will take control of Hella and fight technologically advanced enemies with just a sword in order to take back her throne.
“As our first game, Helheim has been a veritable passion project.” says Federico Giorsetti, NAN’s Game Designer. “Through 34BigThings’ guidance, we have learnt how to improve the game in several ways, and the game has reached a point of quality that we wouldn’t have been able to reach in such a short amount of time”
