Frozen 2 is going ahead, reveals Idina Menzel

November 28, 2014 by Gary Collinson

In addition to the upcoming short film Frozen Fever, it seems that Disney is returning to the world of Frozen for a full-length sequel to last year’s animated smash hit, with star Idina Menzel revealing to The Telegraph that Frozen 2 is in the works alongside the short and a stage musical.

“They’re all in the works. [I’m not going to be involved in] the stage show. I don’t know what will happen with that – but the movie hopefully [I’ll return as Elsa]. We’ll see. I’m just going along for the ride.”

A sequel will of course come as little surprise considering Frozen has earned just shy of $1.275 billion at the global box office and its licensed merchandise expected to add another billion by the end of the year.
