Game of Thrones’ Night King actor discusses the ending of ‘The Long Night’

May 2, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Vladimír Furdík, the actor behind the Night King on Game of Thrones, says he supports Arya’s actions against him in the latest episode.

The latest episode of Game of Thrones was replete with memorable moments but, of course, the one everyone is talking about is when Arya heroically slays the Night King, leaping from the shadows to fell the seemingly unstoppable monster.

Many were expecting Jon or one of the dragons to take down the villain so when Arya saved the day, there was a lot of surprised faces to be found. What does Vladimír Furdík, the actor behind the Night King, think of these events? Well, he told The Daily Beast that he was a fan of what happened:

“I think this was a good decision. Because nobody’s waiting so much for [Arya to surprise him], not many people knew it would happen. Maybe ten minutes before Arya jumps on the Night King, we don’t know where she is. We see Jon Snow and other actors, but we don’t know where she is. Maybe somebody can predict it, but I think it was a good decision. Who else can kill him and how? It was the best, I think.”
