Game of Thrones star Iain Glen says the end for Jorah Mormont “may well be close”

April 6, 2017 by Robert Kojder

With season 7 of Game of Thrones slated to begin on HBO in the summer, production has long been wrapped and it’s now time for the marking and promotion to kick in, which of course includes the cast members teasing their roles in the penultimate season of the fantasy series.

Speaking to Stuff, Iain Glen talked about the fate of Jorah Mormont and even possibly teased the character’s death, saying: “I’ve always enjoyed playing Jorah. It’s been a role that’s been good to me so far. … There’s quite a high death count in Game of Thrones and they don’t blanch at removing favorite characters. They just get rid of them in a brutal way. My end may well be close but so far I’m doing OK.”

Interestingly, this doesn’t address how much screen time Jorah will have, which could be limited considering the character was sent away again by Daenerys to find a cure for the greyscale that has now infected his body.

Season seven of Game of Thrones will get underway on HBO on July 16th.
