Glenn Close joins Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man

May 30, 2024 by Ricky Church

The names keep coming as Glenn Close joins the growing cast of Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man, the third film in the director’s Benoit Blanc mystery series that began with Knives Out, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Not much is known about Wake Up Dead Man beyond the cast so far, which includes Daniel Craig reprising his role as private detective Benoit Blanc as he gets caught up in another murder mystery. The announcement teaser, narrated by Craig, stated it would be his most dangerous case yet so we can expect, as was the case with Knives Out and its sequel Glass Onion, for more twists and turns from its star studded cast.

Close joins an ensemble that features Josh O’Connor (Challengers, Cailee Spaeney (Civil War), Kerry Washington (Scandal) and Andrew Scott (Ripley).

Close has had a long career in film with several Oscar and Golden Globe nominations to her name. She is most known for Fatal Attraction, the live-action 101 Dalmatians, Air Force One and the voice of Mona Simpson in The Simpsons. She will soon be seen in Back in Action, The Deliverance and Brothers.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery heads into production next month in the UK and will be released some time in 2025.
