Go behind-the-scenes of battle with Gladiator II featurette

October 8, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

Paramount Pictures is taking us behind-the-scenes of Ridley Scott’s forthcoming swords-and-sandals sequel Gladiator II by dropping a featurette focusing on the making of the historical epic.

24-years in the making, Gladiator II is the highly-anticipated sequel to 2000’s Oscar-snaffling original and stars Academy Award nominee Paul Mescal alongside Denzel Washington, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Connie Nielsen, Djimon Hounsou, Matt Lucas, and Derek Jacobi. Check out the video below…

“From legendary director Ridley Scott, Gladiator II continues the epic saga of power, intrigue, and vengeance set in Ancient Rome. Years after witnessing the death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius (Paul Mescal) is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical Emperors who now lead Rome with an iron fist. With rage in his heart and the future of the Empire at stake, Lucius must look to his past to find strength and honor to return the glory of Rome to its people.”

Gladiator II is in cinemas on November 15th in the UK and November 22nd in North America.
