Grace Van Patten joins Nine Perfect Strangers

July 20, 2020 by Ricky Church

Deadline reports Grace Van Patten (Good Posture) has joined Hulu’s limited series Nine Perfect Strangers. She stars alongside Nicole Kidman in an adaptation of Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty’s latest book.

The series marks a reunion between Kidman and writer-producer David E. Kelly following their work on bringing Moriarty’s Big Little Lies to the screen, and takes place in “a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living. Watching over them during this ten-day retreat is the resort’s director Masha (Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, these nine ‘perfect’ strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.”

Van Patten will play Zoe, one of the nine “perfect” strangers. Also starring the series is Melissa McCarthy, Luke Evans, Melvin Gregg and Samara Weaving. Van Patten will next be seen Mayday and The Violent Heart.

Nine Perfect Strangers is targeting a 2021 premiere on Hulu.
