H1Z1: Battle Royale PlayStation 4 launch date revealed

Daybreak Games have revealed that H1Z1: Battle Royale on the Playstation 4 will be leaving Open Beta and launching as a free to play game on the 7th August.  Reimagined specifically for consoles, H1Z1: Battle Royale’s Open Beta has seen huge success with over 10 million players enjoying the action.

Along with the game’s launch this August come a host of new features and in game content that will give players more choice.  These new features include:

  • Two New Weapons – An explosive RPG and a deadly SOCOM Sniper Rifle will add new tactical layers to the game’s  fast paced gameplay.
  • New Vehicle – The new ARV can fit an entire five man squad and includes a pop-out hatch for your team’s best marksman.
  • Battle Pass Season 1 – Players can now unlock new additional content across 3 distinct reward lines (free, premium, and PlayStation Plus).
  • Two New Launch Bundles – Gear up with the Hardline Deluxe Bundle or kung-fu inspired Viper Starter Bundle for max character customisation.
  • Additional Performance Optimisations and more – Weapons, movement, airdrops, and loot distribution have all been tuned and improved.

H1Z1: Battle Royale will see players search for weapons, ammo and vehicles in a fight for survival in an ever decreasing map and will officially launch on 7th August.
