Iliza Shlesinger stars in trailer for Netflix rom-com Good on Paper

May 20, 2021 by Ricky Church

Comedian Iliza Shlesinger (Instant Family) will be seen next in the romantic comedy Good on Paper for Netflix. Shlesinger wrote the film with Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars) starring alongside her and Kimmy Gatewood (The Baby-Sitters Club) directing. Watch the trailer below…

Good on Paper follows Shlesinger’s Andrea Singer, who “always put her stand-up career first, and while dating came easy, love wasn’t a priority… that is until she meets Dennis, a quirky nerd with disarming charm who coaxes her into letting her guard down. Her best friend Margot isn’t convinced he’s all he seems and she urges Andrea to embark on a wild goose chase to uncover who Dennis really is.”

Also starring in Good on Paper is Margaret Cho (Margaret Cho: PsyCHO), Rebecca Rittenhouse (Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood), Tyler Cameron (Single Parents) and Taylor Hill (The Broken Hearts Gallery).

“I wanted to write something funny, unique, and relatable. A comedian turns real life into art, so I shared my bizarre story and had fun doing it. What started as a cathartic release became a passion project that I put a lot of comedy and heart into,” Shlesinger said of her first written film.

Good on Paper will premiere on Netflix June 23rd.
