Infinity War screenwriters open to more Marvel movies after Avengers 4

May 1, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Having penned the scripts for Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, it’s fair to say that screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have played a major role in shaping the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The duo still have the as-yet-untitled Avengers 4 to come, but asked by Variety whether the 2019 sequel will be their Marvel swansong, McFeely revealed that they are open to working with Marvel Studios again at some point in the future.

It’s really sort of a dream scenario. If it doesn’t kill us, we’d like to try it for a while.”

The comments from Markus and McFeely echo those of Infinity War directors Anthony and Joe Russo, who indicated back in January that they would be open to working with Marvel again. And, given that Avengers: Infinity War has just shattered box office records, one would have to assume that the feeling is mutual…
