Ioan Gruffudd set to headline Harrow series

July 15, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Forever star Ioan Gruffudd is set to headline the new ABC Studios International crime drama series Harrow, which has been co-created by Secrets and Lies writer Stephen M. Irwin and producer Leigh McGrath and will see the Welsh actor taking on the role of forensic pathologist Dr. Daniel Harrow.

According to the site, the 10-episode series will follow Harrow, “who is no ordinary forensic pathologist. Brilliant. Unorthodox. And a murderer? Harrow’s total disregard for authority and his unfailing empathy for the dead help him solve even the most bizarre of cases. He is driven to give victims a voice and will bend every rule to get to the truth of what happened to them. But when a terrible secret from his past threatens his family, his career and himself, Harrow needs all his wit, wile and forensic genius not to solve a crime but to keep it buried.”

Production on Harrow is set to get underway in Queensland this August. Gruffudd meanwhile will next be seen in the TV miniseries Liar, along with the feature film The Professor and the Madman, where he stars alongside Sean Penn and Mel Gibson.
