It’s man vs leg in trailer for dark thriller Above the Knee

July 30, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Blue Finch Films has released a poster and trailer for Above the Knee, the Norwegian thriller from writer-director Viljar Bøe.

Freddy Singh stars as Amir, a man tormented by the thought that his left leg is rotting. Convinced it doesn’t belong to him, he longs to cut it off and devises a dark plan to remove his limb.

Joining Singh in the cast are Julie Abrahamsen, Louise Waage Anda, and Viggo Solomon. Check out the trailer below…

Amir’s life with his beautiful girlfriend looks perfect but in reality, he is harbouring a dark secret he knows no one will understand – ever since he can remember he has felt his left leg doesn’t belong to him. Plagued with visions of a rotting leg that must be amputated, he becomes determined to rid himself of this alien limb, whatever the cost may be.

Above the Knee arrives on digital platforms on September 9th.
