James McAvoy terrifies on new Speak No Evil poster

June 18, 2024 by EJ Moreno

We know James McAvoy can rock a horror film, just look at his work in Split, but the poster for Speak No Evil shows new depths to the horror.

In the upcoming James Watkins-directed remake, McAvoy joins a stellar cast in what could be one of the most chilling films of the year.

Based on the screenplay of 2020’s Danish psychological horror thriller Gæsterne by Christian Tafdrup and Mads Tafdrup, Speak No Evil stars Mackenzie Davis (Halt and Catch Fire) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) as an American couple, who, along with their 11-year-old daughter Agnes (Riverdale), accept the weekend-holiday invitation of Paddy (McAvoy), his wife Ciara (Aisling Franciosi – The Fall) and their mute son Ant (newcomer Daniel Hough). Check out the new poster below…

When an American family is invited to spend the weekend at the idyllic country estate of a charming British family they befriended on vacation, what begins as a dream holiday soon warps into a snarled psychological nightmare.
