Accompanied with the simple caption ‘Day One’, The Conjuring director revealed an icy cave as the first location for filming on the sequel to 2018’s billion dollar grossing original.

Plot details are scant, although Wan has revealed that his horror sensibilities might bleed into the multicolored world established in the original film.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick from a story treatment by Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa. Momoa will once again reprise his role as Arthur Curry/Aquaman alongside Amber Heard as Mera and newcomer Pilou Asbaek (Game of Thrones) in an undisclosed role. Patrick Wilson returns as Orm/Ocean Master, Arthur’s half-brother and former king of Atlantis.

Are you excited about a return to the depths with Momoa’s Aquaman, or are there other DC properties you’d rather see going before the camera? Let us know by heading to our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
