Jennifer Lawrence has also met with Paul Feig for Ghostbusters reboot

December 11, 2014 by Luke Owen

Earlier today we brought you the news that Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect 2) had met with Paul Feig for the Ghostbusters reboot. And now we bring word that Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1) has also met with the director about a role.

Speaking with MTV (via CBM) Lawrence said, “I actually met with the director. I had dinner with him. Yeah I sure did… I will never cross the streams.”

Lawrence and Wilson are the only confirmed names for having met with Feig, but it is assumed that Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids), Melissa McCarthy (St. Vincent), Emma Stone (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) and Linda Cardellini (Scooby Doo) are on the shortlist. Well, at least that was original Ghostbuster Bill Murray had on his wish list.

Jennifer Lawrence is currently starring in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which is out now in cinemas, and also stars Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Willow Shields, Sam Claflin, Meta Golding, Jena Malone, Stef Dawson, Natalie Dormer, Lily Rabe, Jeffrey Wright, Evan Ross, Mahershala Ali, Wes Chatham, Eldon Henson, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Julianne Moore.
