Ahead of its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival this May, a trailer and posters for the French historical drama Jeanne du Barry.
The film is directed by Maïwenn, who also stars in the title role as the illegitimate daughter of a working class seamstress, as she uses her allure and intelligence to rise through the court of King Louis XV (Johnny Depp), causing scandal along the way, to become his final official mistress.
The life of Jeanne Bécu who was born as the illegitimate daughter of an impoverished seamstress in 1743 and went on to rise through the Court of Louis XV to become his last official mistress.
Jeanne du Barry will premiere at Cannes next month.
