Deadline is reporting that Jon Bernthal (The Punisher), Evan Peters (American Horror Story), Charlie Plummer (All the Money in the World) and Josh Gad (Beauty and the Beast) have signed on to the cast of Snow Ponies, a dark comedy action thriller set up at 87Eleven, Nickel City Pictures and Entertainment One.
Based on a 2006 Black List script by Pat Healy (The Post) and directed by Darrin Prescott, second unit director on the likes of Deadpool 2, Black Panther and Baby Driver, the film charts the journey of a crew of seven hardened men who travel across a vicious landscape to deliver a mysterious package.
Jon Bernthal will next be seen in Widows and has the second season of Marvel’s The Punisher incoming, while Peters will reprise his role as Quicksilver in X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Plummer has The Clovehitch Killer and Gully on his slate, and Gad will appear in the Artemis Fowl movie as well as returning to voice Olaf in Disney’s Frozen 2.
