Journey back to the ocean in Disney’s Moana 2 trailer

Disney has released the first trailer for Moana 2, the eagerly anticipated sequel to their $600 million grossing 56th animated feature film.

Directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller, and featuring music by Grammy winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Grammy nominee Opetaia Foaʻi, and three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina.

Moana 2 finds Auli’i Cravalho returning to play the titular heroine, alongside Dwayne Johnson’s returning demigod Maui. Check out the poster and trailer below…

“Walt Disney Animation Studios’ epic animated musical Moana 2 takes audiences on an expansive new voyage with Moana, Maui and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”

Moana 2 sails into theaters on November 27th, 2024.
