Jude Law and Carrie Coon set for psychological thriller The Nest

April 28, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

Martha Marcy May Marlene director Sean Durkin has tapped Jude Law (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) and Carrie Coon (The Leftovers) to star in his next film, the psychological thriller The Nest.

The film will see Law as Rory, “an ambitious entrepreneur who brings his American wife and kids to his native country, England, to explore new business opportunities. After abandoning the sanctuary of their safe American suburban surroundings, the family is plunged into the despair of an archaic ’80s Britain and their unaffordable new life in an English manor house threatens to destroy the family. As the eerie isolation of the house pushes the family further apart, each person descends into a self destructive cycle, leaving everyone unsure if their family will survive this life altering displacement.”

Jude Law is currently shooting the Marvel Studios superhero movie Captain Marvel and has Woody Allen’s A Rainy Day in New York and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald incoming this year. Coon meanwhile can currently be seen in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War and also has Steve McQueen’s Widows on her upcoming slate.
