Judy Greer and Jenna Fischer board Clint Eastwood’s The 15:17 to Paris

July 16, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Judy Greer (War for the Planet of the Apes) and Janna Fischer (The Office) have joined the cast of Clint Eastwood’s next film The 15:17 to Paris, which tells the true story of a thwarted terrorist attack on a Paris-bound train in 2015.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Eastwood has cast Anthony Salder, Alek Skarlatos, and Spencer Stone – the three men responsible for foiling the attempted attack – as themselves. The film will tell the story of their lives, from childhood through to the events in 2015, with Ray Corasani, Paul-Mikél Williams, Max Ivutin, Bryce Gheisar, Cole Eichenberger and William Jennings all set to play younger versions of the three men.

Greer is set to portray Joyce, described as “an independent and fiercely religious single mother who always has a glass half full type of mindset”. Fischer meanwhile will play Skarlatos’s mother Heidi Skarlatos.

The 15:17 to Paris is based on the book The 15:17 to Paris: The True Story of a Terrorist, a Train, and Three American Heroes by Sadler, Skarlatos, Stone, and Jeffrey E. Stern, and is in production now.
