Kelly Rowland and Trevante Rhodes star in Tyler Perry’s Mea Culpa trailer

January 24, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

Netflix has released the trailer for Tyler Perry’s Mia Culpa, which stars Kelly Rowland (Think Like a Man) as a criminal defense attorney who takes on the case of Trevante Rhodes’ (Moonlight) seductive artist who has been accused of murdering his girlfriend.

Written and directed by honorary Oscar winner Tyler Perry, Mea Cupla is the latest in his multi-year first-look deal with the streaming giants. As well as Rowlands and Rhodes, the film also stars Sean Sagar (The Gentlemen), Nick Sagar (The Princess Switch), RonReaco Lee (Nappily Ever After) and Shannon Thornton (P-Valley). Check out the trailer below…

When criminal defense attorney Mea Harper (Kelly Rowland) takes on the murder case of artist Zyair Malloy (Trevante Rhodes), the truth isn’t as obvious as it seems. While she tries to determine the innocence or guilt of her cagy-yet-seductive client, it is uncovered that everyone is guilty of something. Tyler Perry’s Mea Culpa explores what happens when burning desire takes hold and things get hot… and dangerous.

Mea Culpa premieres on Netflix from February 23rd, 2024.
