Legion season 3 adds Lauren Tsai as the mutant Switch

January 12, 2019 by Gary Collinson

FX’s X-Men series Legion has cast model and artist Lauren Tsai in the role of Switch, who Variety describes as “a young mutant whose secret ability serves as the key to executing David Haller’s plan.”

The news was first reported by Variety, before being confirmed by the official Legion Twitter account:

Flip the switch. Welcome, @LaLaChuu. #LegionFX https://t.co/eJ6vu9dZoq

— Legion (@LegionFX) January 9, 2019

Legion, based on the Marvel comic book of the same name, sees Dan Stevens as David Haller, a man who believed himself to be a schizophrenic, only to uncover the truth that he may actually be the most powerful mutant in the world.

The character of Switch also exists in Marvel comic continuity, where she is portrayed as Devon Alomar, a member of the Hellions who is able to possess the bodies of others by switching minds with them.

Season three of Legion is slated to air later this year, and features a cast that also includes Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Bill Irwin, Aubrey Plaza, Jemaine Clement, Hamish Linklater, and Navid Negahban.
