Len Wiseman boards The Gifted as executive producer

August 13, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Underworld director Len Wiseman has signed on to Fox’s upcoming X-Men series The Gifted as an executive producer, where he’ll join showrunner Matt Nix and fellow EPs Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg, as well as Marvel Television’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.

Wiseman has directed the second episode of the series, titled ‘A New World’, which is said to be a key episode of the show. He also previously worked with Matt Nix on the Fox drama series A.P.B., where they both served as executive producers.

Action-adventure family drama THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

The Gifted is set to premiere on Fox on Monday, October 2nd, and featured a cast that includes Stephen Moyer (True Blood), Amy Acker (Person of Interest), Natalie Alyn Lind (Gotham), Emma Dumont (Pretty Little Liars), Jamie Chung (Gotham), Blair Redford (Switched at Birth), Sean Teale (Incorporated), Coby Bell (Burn Notice), Joseph Morgan (The Originals) and Elena Satine (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).
