The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Leonardo DiCaprio is set to star in The Crowded Room, an adaptation of Daniel Keyes’ 1981 book The Minds of Billy Milligan.
The film will tell the true story of Milligan, the first person to successfully use multiple personality disorder as a defense in a court of law, after being charged with robbery and rape – crimes committed by two of his twenty-four personalities.
The site reports that DiCaprio has been eyeing the part for close to two decades, and that Jason Smilovic (Lucky Number Slevin) has been hired to pen the script alongside Todd Katzberg.
