Lewis Pullman to star in new adaptation of Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot

August 28, 2021 by EJ Moreno

Lewis Pullman is stepping into his breakout role and entering the world of Stephen King as THR reports Pullman, the son of actor Bill Pullman, will star in a new adaptation of Salem’s Lot, headed by filmmaker Gary Dauberman.

As per the trade, Pullman will star as author Ben Mears, “a man who returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book only to discover his hometown is being preyed upon by a vampire, leading him to band together a ragtag group that will fight the evil presence.”

Gary Dauberman wrote the script and will helm the upcoming film. Dauberman is well-known in the horror community for his work in The Conjuring universe, penning four movies and directing Annabelle Comes Home. He has also co-written It Chapter One and tackled It Chapter Two solo.

Lewis Pullman is looking to take his career to the next level with this role. Pullman previously starred in The Strangers: Prey at Night and George Clooney’s mini-series, Catch-22. He also played a scene-stealing role in Drew Goddard’s Bad Times at the El Royale. You can see Lewis Pullman in the upcoming Top Gun: Maverick, where he’ll play a Navy fighter pilot mentored by Tom Cruise.

Shooting for the new Salem’s Lot will begin in September in Boston.
