Linda Hamilton joins Stranger Things for final season

June 18, 2023 by EJ Moreno

If Linda Hamilton can take on a Terminator, a Demogorgon will be no match for her. We’ll see how that turns out as the actress has joined Stranger Things season 5.

Netflix’s Stranger Things is gearing up for the hit series’ final season, and the streamer announced Linda Hamilton’s inclusion Saturday at TUDUM.

Little is known about Hamilton’s role, or whether she’ll be portraying a hero or villainous character. Given the history of the series’ guest stars, it could go either way.

She’ll join a growing list of iconic 80s actors who have joined the series. The line-up includes Winona Ryder, Cary Elwes, Matthew Modine, Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, and Robert Englund.

Stranger Things season 5 is the final season of the beloved Netflix series, marking the closing act of a story that began in 2016. The fourth season was the most streamed series of 2022 and launched the show into an even higher stratosphere than ever before.

As we await the premiere of Stranger Things season 5, you can find Hamilton Syfy’s Resident Alien, and she recently returned to the Terminator franchise with 2019’s Terminator: Dark Fate.

At the time of writing, there’s no set release for Stranger Things‘ final season, given the ongoing WGA strike.
