Lisa Joy’s sci-fi Reminiscence casts Angela Sarafyan, Cliff Curtis, Natalie Martinez and Marina De Tavira

October 26, 2019 by Ricky Church

Westworld showrunner Lisa Joy’s upcoming sci-fi thriller and directorial debut has just added four more to its cast. Per Deadline, Angela Sarafyan (Westworld), Cliff Curtis (Doctor Sleep), Natalie Martinez (Death Race) and Marina De Tavira (Roma). They join The Greatest Showman’s Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Ferguson, Thandie Netwon (Westworld) and Daniel Wu (Tomb Raider) in the film.

Reminiscence will see Jackman as Nicolas Bannister, “a rugged and solitary veteran living in a near-future Miami flooded by rising seas. Bannister is an expert in a dangerous occupation — he offers clients the chance to relive any memory they desire. His life changes when he meets Mae (Ferguson). What begins as a simple matter of lost and found becomes a passionate love affair. But when a different client’s memories implicate Mae in a series of violent crimes, Bannister must delve through the dark world of the past to uncover the truth about the woman he fell for. An epic story that travels the intimate and infinite world of memory, Reminiscence asks: How far would you go to hold on to the ones you love?”

Joy wrote the screenplay herself and will produce alongside her partner and husband Jonathan Nolan, Michael De Luca and Aaron Ryder. It will be distributed by Warner Bros.
