Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa begins production with Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth

June 3, 2022 by Gary Collinson

After a trip to Cannes for the premiere of his latest film 3000 Years of Longing, Australian director George Miller is back in the Outback, with filming now officially underway on his Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa.

The film sees Anya Taylor-Joy portraying a young Imperator Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron alongside Tom Hardy in 2015’s acclaimed Fury Road, while the cast also includes Chris Hemsworth (Thor: Love and Thunder), who broke the news of the start of filming on social media.
