Marriage Story leads winners of the 2019 Gotham Independent Film Awards

As awards season marches on, the winners of the 2019 Gotham Independent Film Awards were revealed yesterday evening, with Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story enjoying a successful night, the film picking up Best Feature, Best Screenplay (Baumbach) and Best Actor (Adam Driver), along with the Audience Award.

The Netflix-distributed drama wasn’t the only success for the streaming service, as it also picked up Best Documentary for American Factory and Best Television Series – Long For for When They See Us. Other winners included Awkwafina (Best Actress for The Farewell), Laure De Clermont-Tonnerre (Breakthrough Director for The Mustang) and Taylor Russell (Breakthrough Actor for Waves).
