Marvel has discussed bringing Captain Britain to the big screen

June 28, 2017 by Jordan Jones

At times it feels like the Marvel Cinematic Universe is becoming quite packed, yet there are still so many heroes and villains to bring to the big screen. One of those heroes is Captain Britain: basically a British Captain America in form and attitude, but with more mystical origins a la Doctor Strange.

Recently, HeyUGuys asked Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige about the possibility of Brian Braddock a.k.a. Captain Britain coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Feige’s reply?

“We have discussed it. There are a lot of actors that come in and ask about that part, so we’ll have to see.”

Captain Britain really would be a great inclusion to the MCU. As varied as the origins of many of these characters are, and even with the upcoming trip to Wakanda through Black Panther, the Marvel Cinematic Universe still feels very U.S.-centric. This could be the perfect opportunity for the MCU to globalize a bit more, and introduce a great British character that is definitely a heavy-hitter. It makes one wonder what actors have been asking about the part?

Who would you like to see play Captain Britain? Let us know in the comments below!
