Marvel Studios kicked off the first of its two big panels at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con International with a Hall H presentation showcasing its upcoming animated output, beginning with a poster and teaser for I Am Groot, a collection of five original shorts following the adventures of the Guardians of the Galaxy’s adorable Flora Colossus.
I Am Groot will follow Groot (voiced once more by Vin Diesel) at various points in his life, getting into various adventures across the galaxy. During the panel, director Kirsten Lepore (Adventure Time) confirmed that Bradley Cooper’s Rocket Raccoon will be among the familiar faces/voices in this first batch of shorts, and that work is already underway on an additional five episodes.

I Am Groot will premiere on Disney+ on August 10th.
